All week I will be sharing tips and stories about how to “Choose Awesome”.
Our life is made up of millions of tiny moments. In every one of these moments we have a choice. I want to teach you how to choose awesome in as many moments as you can, starting this second. You might start slow. You might want to stick with what you know. Do you often choose victim or choose martyr? Lots of people choose hard. Do you choose why me? Do you choose exhaustion?
Yes, life can be very hard, life is exhausting and sometimes we let our life get into the hands of others. Sometimes we stop choosing. We just ride with the story we picked one time or three hundred times. It’s easier to stick with what we know, even if it sucks, than make a choice to let go and see what we could LET THERE BE!
Every single moment, we have the opportunity to change everything! You are not your past. You are this moment, brand new! You get to start over all day, everyday. One choice in one moment can change our path forever. In every moment, I do my best to choose awesome. Yes, I am tired, but isn’t this day awesome! Boo, that was a disappointing response, but it’s ok, because I choose awesome and the next thing will be less disappointing. No matter what, I choose awesome, every time. There’s no time to dwell, people. Take a moment. Embrace your fear, your worry, say, “I get it.” Then, choose awesome, anyway! Life is so much better. Can you let life be beautiful? Can you let life be as easy as you possibly can?
It took me 365 days to start naturally choosing awesome without a fight. Here is my podcast with Jeff Steinmann on my process this year and what I continue to gain from saying, “I choose awesome!”
Here are some pics from my awesome weekend with lifelong childhood friend, April, and later a pop around the city and FAO with Kim and Brian, baby Barrett’s mom and dad, who came to the city to visit!
