These are photos of Greg and me, taken ELEVEN years ago by our friend, Erik. Babies. We were fresh-faced kids, just out of college. The picture below was taken last weekend at Rockefeller Center. Nothing has changed and everything has changed. Greg and I remain as bonded as ever, but in hugely loving, caring and inspiring ways today. Thank goodness. Back then, we were dual rollercoasters crashing into each other and everything and everyone around us, hoping not to get hurt or do too much hurting. We hurt a lot. The surfacing of these photos from Erik’s archive brought back a lot of feelings this week for both of us, but none of them greater than the gratitude we feel for being who we are, together and apart, TODAY. The roller coaster is a lot more peaceful and easy-going these days.
